One woman was transported to hospital after being bear sprayed last night.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025, police were called to the 100 block of Spadina Crescent East for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located the female victim suffering from the effects of bear spray. Further investigation found that the victim had been using a washroom in the area when she was approached by two unknown women and a brief confrontation occurred between the three of them; the women then left the washroom and an unknown man entered, sprayed her with bear spray, and hit her in the head before all three suspects fled the area.

Police are continuing to investigate.
