A 51 year old woman was forced to jump from a window to escape a break and enter on the weekend.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., September 13, 2025, Police responded to a call regarding a break and enter by an armed suspect to a home in the 400 block of Avenue S South.

Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim who said a woman had entered her home and threatened her with a firearm. The victim then fled the scene through a window. The suspect is known to the victim.

Further investigation identified a suspect vehicle, which officers located and stopped soon after. The suspect was located inside the vehicle along with a machete. No firearm was found.

The 30 year old female accused is facing charges of Break and Enter with Intent, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and breach of court conditions.
