Two youth males were arrested following a weapons investigation yesterday.

At around 1:00 p.m. on September 18, 2025, police were called to the 300 block of Avenue Q North for a report of a group of youth in possession of a weapon. Officers arrived to the area and learned that a man had been walking on Rusholme Road when he was approached by a group of youth who produced a firearm and threatened him with it before the victim fled. Additional arriving officers located the suspects nearby and effected their arrests without incident; an imitation firearm was located on one of their persons.

As a result, a 12-year-old male has been charged with uttering death threats and attempted robbery with a firearm while a 13-year-old male is charged with possession of a weapon to commit an offence, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, uttering death threats, and attempted robbery with a firearm.
