One man was arrested following a report of a person armed with a weapon yesterday.

At around 4:15 p.m. on September 18, 2025, police were called to an apartment building in the 2300 block of 17th Street West following a report that a man that had just bear sprayed a vehicle with multiple occupants inside before shattering an apartment unit’s window with a machete and climbing inside. Officers arrived to the area and surrounded the apartment building. Following a short negotiation with the suspect, he surrendered to police and was taken into custody without further incident.

As a result, the 31-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with mischief under $5000, break and enter with intent to commit an offence, possession of a weapon for an offence (x2), assault (x3), and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
