The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested an individual wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for homicide.

On Friday, January 31, 2025, members of the Saskatoon Police Service were assisting an outside agency in the execution of a search warrant at an apartment in the 10 block of Assiniboine Drive. As a result of the search warrant, a 30-year-old man was arrested and found to have an outstanding Canada-wide warrant for a 2021 homicide investigation from Toronto, ON.

Arrangements are being made to return the accused, Jabreel Elmi, to Toronto, ON. No additional charges were laid by the SPS as a result of the search warrant.
