One man was arrested following an evade police incident on the weekend.
At around 3:45 p.m. on September 27, 2025, an officer patrolling the east side of the city attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Clarence Avenue South and Aird Street when it began to evade police in a dangerous manner. The officer immediately disengaged from following the vehicle as members of the Air Support Unit took over. Officers in the air observed the vehicle parked in an alley in the 300 block of McKinnon Avenue with the suspect walking away from it; he then stole a bike from a yard in the 300 block of Hugo Avenue and rode to the 1200 block of 15th Street East where he was arrested without further incident. A search of his person located suspected methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.
As a result, the 46-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with dangerous driving, operating a vehicle being pursued by police, theft under $5000, and possession of a controlled substance.
