One man is in custody after attempting to evade Police yesterday.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., February 2, 2025, Patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle making evasive actions to avoid Police. A traffic stop was conducted in the parking lot of a hotel in the 100 block of Circle Drive. Two females exited the vehicle before the driver fled. A tired deflation device was successfully deployed and the vehicle came to a stop in the 1000 block of McMillan Avenue. The driver fled on foot but was arrested nearby. Officers observed open alcohol inside the vehicle. It, along with various cellphones, were seized by Police. The driver refused to provide a breath sample to SPS.

A 35-year-old man is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Refusing to Comply with Officer Demands and Breach of Conditions.
