Saskatoon police responded to an aggravated assault yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., October 1, 2025, patrol officers responded to a report that two persons were injured by machete in the 10 block of Matheson Place. Both attended to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

As a result, two nearby schools were placed into a perimeter lockdown as a precaution but there was no immediate danger to students or staff.
