Four people were arrested following a stabbing on the weekend.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. on October 4, 2025, police were called to an establishment in the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim suffering from a stab wound; he was transported to hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury. Further investigation determined that the victim was assaulted and stabbed by four people who then fled the area in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied in the 3300 block of Confederation Drive and later observed a group of people matching the suspect descriptions walking in the area of Fairlight Drive and Fairmont Drive; they were arrested without incident.
As a result, a 40-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions (x2), a 38-year-old woman was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace (bear spray), unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon (bear spray), fraudulent personation, and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions, and two 23-year-old men were charged with failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.
