A 32 year old man is facing charges following a report of a male with a weapon at an apartment this morning.

At approximately 7:40 a.m., October 10, 2025, Police received a report of a male armed with a gun in the 200 block of Avenue R South. Upon arrival officers were able to remove the 28 year old female victim from the apartment before making contact with the man and taking him into custody. Investigation revealed the woman had been assaulted. The gun was found to be an imitation.

The woman suffered minor physical injuries.

The man is facing charges including; Assault With a Weapon and Unlawful Confinement.
