A 37 year old man is facing charges following a reported assault with an axe on the weekend.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., October 10, 2025, Police were called to the area of 20th Street and Avenue H. A witness reported seeing two men on bicycles when one of them struck the other with an axe. Both men fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the male matching the suspect description nearby and brought him into custody after a short pursuit.

The man is now facing charges of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and breach of court conditions.

The victim was not located.
