Two people are facing firearms-related charges following an early morning traffic stop.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., February 11, 2025, Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in a gas station parking lot at 8th Street East and Cumberland Avenue South. Upon speaking to the three occupants in the vehicle, Police observed a drug pipe and subsequently arrested the individuals. A search of the vehicle led officers to discover a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition inside a duffle bag. One suspect was also found to be wearing a ballistic vest.

A 29-year-old man is facing five firearms-related offences.
