Arrest - Stolen Vehicle / Robbery - Avenue I South And 13th Street West

One man has been arrested following a report of a robbery in which a vehicle was stolen this morning.

At around 8:00 a.m. on November 7, 2025, police were called to the area of Avenue I South and 13th Street West for a report of a stolen vehicle that had been taken with force. Further investigation determined that the victim had started the vehicle to warm up and as he was brushing the snow off, a man approached him from behind, pushed him to the ground, got into the vehicle, and began to drive away. Responding officers observed the vehicle being driven dangerously at numerous locations in the area and several attempts were made to stop it; however, the suspect continued to evade police, while at times, striking police vehicles in doing so. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed at 11th Street West and McNaughton Avenue and the vehicle was later located abandoned in a parking lot at Avenue J and 20th Street West. The suspect was located and arrested nearby; he was believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant.

As a result, the 28-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with robbery, operating a vehicle being pursued by police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, impaired driving, and failing to comply with court-ordered conditions.
