One man has been arrested following an armed robbery yesterday.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m. on November 27, 2025, police were called to a business in the 1800 block of Broadway Avenue for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. It was reported that a man entered the business, threatened a staff member with a knife, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing into another nearby business and robbing it of merchandise. The suspect the fled prior to police arrival. A police service dog was used to conduct a track for the suspect; successfully locating him in the area of Gladmer Crescent. He was taken into custody and transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of injuries consistent with a dog bite.

As a result, the 27-year-old man has been charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
