One man was arrested following an evade police incident on the weekend.

At around 1:30 a.m. on February 28, 2026, an officer patrolling in the area of Broadway Avenue and Bute Street attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle. Upon activating the police vehicle’s emergency equipment, the vehicle refused to stop for police and began to evade before colliding with a sound wall at Kelvin Avenue and Cascade Street. The driver exited the vehicle and was compliant with police commands; he was arrested without further incident.

As a result, the 18-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and evading police.
