One man was arrested following a report of a domestic assault.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m. on February 27, 2026, police were called to a residence in the 700 block of Avenue M South for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with occupants within the residence and determined that a domestic assault had taken place. The suspect was reported to have fled moments prior to police arrival. Officers in the area located the suspect nearby; however, he refused to comply with police commands. As officers were attempting to take him into custody, a struggle ensued and the suspect struck a Constable in the face and spit at another. He was ultimately arrested with the assistance of additional arriving officers.

As a result, the 24-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault by choking, suffocating, or strangling, assaulting a police officer (x2), uttering threats to cause death, mischief under $5000, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
