One man has been arrested following a traffic stop yesterday morning.

At around 2:00 a.m. on January 11, 2026, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling in the area of Pacific Avenue and 23rd Street East. Upon speaking to the driver, open alcohol was observed inside the vehicle. Following a search of the vehicle, officers located bear spray, drug trafficking paraphernalia, various suspected drugs, a baton, and a firearm.

As a result, the 35-year-old male driver was arrested without incident and charged with several weapons- and drug-related offences. He was also ticketed under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act for having open alcohol in a vehicle.
