One man is now facing charges in relation to a shooting that occurred Monday evening in the 600 block of Avenue I South.
On March 25, 2026 at approximately 4:00 a.m. while on regular patrol, officers located and arrested the male suspect in a parking lot in the 1700 block of 20th Street West.
As a result, the 31-year-old man has been charged with discharging a firearm, two counts of pointing a firearm, armed robbery, aggravated assault and four counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit (SAU) are investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday evening.
At around 6:50 p.m. on March 23, 2026, police received a report of a shooting in a garage in the 600 block of Avenue I South. Arriving officers located a 31-year-old man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries; he was transported to hospital by paramedics for further medical care.
Through their investigation, officers learned a male suspect had attended the garage and allegedly attempted to rob the victim when a physical altercation ensued and the suspect discharged a firearm towards the victim. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
