One man was arrested following a report of a group of people trespassing in a business.
At around 2:15 a.m. this morning, March 27, 2026, police were called to a business in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue North for a report of multiple people refusing to leave the premises. Upon arrival, officers began dispersing the group; however, one man, believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant, refused to leave. As officers continued to engage with him, a collapsible baton was observed in his possession. He was arrested without incident and found to be breaching his court-imposed conditions. A further search of his property found 189.86 grams of methamphetamine in his backpack.
As a result, the 38-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of probation.
