One man has been charged with multiple counts of assault with a weapon in relation to an incident where three people were hit with a vehicle over the weekend.

On March 29, 2026 at around 2:15 a.m., police attended the 900 block of Central Avenue report of an assault in progress. Information outlined a vehicle had hit three people in a parking lot following a physical altercation.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival but was located by officers shortly after. A traffic stop was conducted and the two occupants were arrested without further incident.

Officers at the scene located two of the victims who were treated by paramedics with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The third victim left the scene before police arrived; officers searched for the male but were not successful.

A 19-year-old man has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and dangerous driving. The other occupant of the vehicle, another 19-year-old man, has been charged with breaching court imposed conditions.
