Arrest - Darknet Market Drug Trafficking Investigation - Drugs, Data, Cryptocurrency Seized

One man has been arrested by the Saskatoon Police Service Cybercrime Unit in relation to an ongoing darknet market drug trafficking investigation.

At around 10:00 a.m. on March 31, 2026, members of the Cybercrime Unit, Digital Forensics Unit, and Patrol executed a search warrant at an address in the 10 block of Bateman Crescent and arrested a 30-year-old man believed to be trafficking illicit drugs on several darknet markets. Through investigation, the following evidentiary seizures were made;

  • Xanax and MDMA
  • 0.447 Bitcoin (Btc)
  • 0.007895 Ether (Eth)
  • 0.0989 Binance Coin (BNB)
  • Approximately 130 TB of data storage
  • Assorted computer components

As a result, the accused has been charged with trafficking controlled substances and possession of proceeds of crime over $5000. Police are continuing to investigate.
