Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section have arrested a man who is now facing several charges relating to the city’s fourth homicide of 2026.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre on June 9, 2026.
He has been charged with manslaughter, unlawful confinement, assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, aggravated assault and multiple weapons related charges.
He is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on June 10, 2026.
The Major Crime Section is investigating following the city’s fourth homicide.
At around 3:45 a.m. on April 9, 2026, members of Patrol responded to the 500 block of Avenue X South for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old unresponsive male. He was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West where he was later pronounced deceased.
Members of the Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are continuing to investigate.
