Arrest - Armed Robbery - 1600 Block 33rd Street West

One man was arrested following an armed robbery last night.

At around 8:00 p.m. on April 15, 2026, police were called to a business in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers learned that a man had entered the business and began loading several bottles of alcohol into a duffel bag. When confronted, the suspect brandished a bladed weapon and fled in a silver Mazda. Officers observed the vehicle travelling in the Confederation Drive area a short time later and conducted a traffic stop. A man matching the robbery suspect’s description was arrested from the vehicle; the stolen alcohol, a baton, and a machete were found near the passenger’s seat.

As a result, a 20-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence (x2), robbery, and committing an indictable offence while masked.
