One man was arrested following an investigation by the Crime Reduction Team into drug trafficking.
Shortly before 12:00 a.m. on May 5, 2026, members of the Crime Reduction Team, with assistance from the Tactical Support and Canine Units, conducted enforcement action in a drug trafficking investigation by initiating the arrest of the suspect. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by a police service dog in the area of Muzyka Road and Lucyk Crescent; he was transported to detention where he was examined by the on-duty paramedic and treated for minor injuries consistent with a dog bite.
A search warrant was then executed at an address in the 100 block of Padget Crescent resulting in the following evidentiary seizures;
- $14,235 CAD
- Counterfeit $100 Canadian bills (x235)
- 4,824 grams of cocaine
- 6 cell phones
- Vacuum sealer
- Digital scales
- Assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
As a result, the 28-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of counterfeit currency, and possession of property obtained through proceeds of crime.
