Stabbing - 2200 Block 22nd Street West

A man has been arrested following a stabbing from last week. 

At approximately 12:30 a.m., January 26, 2026, patrol officers located a male suffering from serious injuries at a residence in the 200 block of Avenue W South. Police learned the male was involved in a physical altercation with two other males inside a restaurant and lounge in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West. 

A suspect was identified and located by patrol officers on January 31st after he was observed getting into a taxi in the 200 block of St. Paul's place. Upon his arrest, officers found him to be in possession of a machete.

The 31-year-old male is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (x2), Carrying Concealed Weapon (x2) and Mischief. (Court Info # 991328142)

Police are continuing to investigate.

Saskatoon Police are investigating a stabbing which occurred on the weekend.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., January 24, 2026, Police were called to a restaurant and lounge in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West. It was reported that an injured man was seen fleeing from that address. Officers were able to locate the 39 year old victim at a home in the 200 block Avenue W South, suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment. Further investigation showed that the victim had been involved in an altercation with other males inside the business on 22nd Street. Two suspects were seen, one armed with a machete and the other with a firearm.
