Saskatoon Police responded to multiple stabbing related calls over the weekend.
On July 17, 2026 at around 3:20 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of Avenue K South for a weapons call where it was reported that a man had stabbed another man and the suspect was last seen in the 1100 block of 20th Street West.
Arriving officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect and a man matching that description was located and arrested shortly after. Police also located and seized a knife.
Officers also located a 40-year-old man with injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was treated on scene by paramedics and transported to hospital for further medical treatment for what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, the 25-year-old man has been charged with Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions (x2), Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.

On July 18, 2026 at approximately 8:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of an injured person in the area of 21st Street West and Avenue I South. Information outlined a man had been stabbed.
Police located the victim with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital for further medical treatment. Police also learned the stabbing is believed to have occurred in the 300 block of Avenue M South.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on July 19, 2026, police received a report of an injured person in the area of 20th Street and Avenue H South. It was reported that a man had been stabbed and there was no suspect at the scene.
Arriving officers located the 40-year-old man with injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was transported to hospital by paramedics for what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On July 19, 2026 at around 9:05 a.m., police received a weapons complaint in the 200 block of Avenue U South. Information outlined a person tried to stab another person.
Upon police arrival, officers located the victim with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Through investigation, officers learned the victim had asked to suspect to leave the property before the suspect assaulted and attempt to stab him. The suspect then ran away.
The suspect is described as male and was wearing blue Under Armour running shoes, a blue backpack, black coat, and blue jeans.
The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
