Stabbing Investigations

Saskatoon Police responded to multiple reported stabbing over the weekend.

On July 24, 2026 at approximately 4:35 p.m., police were called to a business in the 400 block of Confederation Drive for an injured person call where it was reported that a woman had been stabbed.

Responding officers located the 36-year-old woman a short distance away being treated by members of the Saskatoon Fire Department. She was transported to hospital by paramedics for what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Through initial investigation, police were not able to determine the location of the stabbing.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

On July 25, 2026 at around 12:25 a.m., police were patrolling in the 500 block of 20th Street West when they were flagged down by a woman who indicated she had been stabbed.

Through initial investigation, officers learned the woman was assaulted by two females in the 500 block of 20th Street West. The 29-year-old woman was transported to hospital by paramedics for further medical treatment.

Police are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

At around 7:10 p.m. on July 25, 2026, police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Avenue W North for a report of a woman who had been stabbed at an apartment building.

Police arrived on scene shortly after and located the suspect. He was arrested without further incident. The woman was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The victim and suspect are known to each other.

As a result, the 26-year-old man has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
