Arrest - Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation - Regina

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Regina resident with internet child exploitation offences.

In July, the Regina Police Service received a complaint regarding online child exploitation. The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit was made aware of the occurrence and began investigating.

As a result of the investigation, 40-year-old Michael ZATYLNY was charged on September 16, 2026 with:

  • Possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
  • Accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material

ZATYLNY appeared in court on September 16, 2026 and was released on court-imposed conditions until his next court date on October 13, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in Regina Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material.
