Request Public's Assistance With Saskatoon's Latest Homicide

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section would like to thank the media and the public for their attention to this matter.  The occupant of the red Mustang has been in contact with the investigative team.  Thank you.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section continues to investigate the city’s most recent homicide and is looking to speak to the occupants of a vehicle that was in the area on August 18, 2019.

The occupant(s) are not involved in the homicide but given the time and place, may have witnessed some of the incident.

The vehicle is a late model red Mustang and was observed in the 200 block of Avenue S South shortly after 10:00 a.m. on August 18, 2019.

If you were an occupant of this vehicle or know who the occupant(s) were, please contact the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crimes Section at 306-975-8241.

Investigators stress that the occupants of the vehicle are not involved in the homicide, but may have valuable information related to it.

The Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section is continuing to investigate after Police responded to a report of an injured person at approximately 10:00 a.m., August 18, 2019 in the 1800 block of 20th Street West. The victim was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are investigating the incident as a suspicious death.

A 25-year-old man has been identified as the victim. Family of the victim have requested that his name not be released at this time.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
